CANCELLATION POLICY
Please understand we are a small, family business and cancellations affect us greatly. Therefore, we will always uphold our policies regardless of circumstance. All guests are charged 50% of total charter price upon booking in order to reserve your requested date and time. Cancellation requests 7 days or more prior to charter date will receive a full refund. Cancellations 6 days or less from charter date incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to charter date as well as no-shows are non-refundable.
Date change requests within 7 days of charter date are not guaranteed and up to the discretion of the captain. If a date change request is granted, but then canceled due to weather the charter will be rebooked for the original charter date and subject to our standard cancellation policy.
For all near shore bookings: if the ocean is too rough for safe or comfortable fishing on the day of the trip, the booking becomes an inshore fishing trip for the same designated time.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the captain only. We will try to reschedule for an alternative day and time. Deposits will be refunded if weather forces the cancellation of a trip (exception noted above regarding date change requests).

Meet Captain “Redfish Wild” Bill — Your Charleston Fishing Guide
Captain Bill is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard captain and the full-time owner and operator of Tight Line Outfitters in Folly Beach, SC. CPR and Wilderness First Aid certified, he runs safe, professional trips for anglers of all experience levels.
Born in the foothills of North Carolina, Bill started fishing early on his grandfather’s farm. After moving to South Florida at age 12, his passion accelerated — especially after landing his first tarpon at 13.
He later studied Outdoor Education and Wilderness Leadership and spent his free time guiding fly fishing trips for wild brook, brown, and rainbow trout. That background eventually brought him to Charleston’s inshore waters, where he founded Tight Line Outfitters in 2015.
Captain Bill isn’t a part-time guide — fishing is his career and lifelong pursuit. With experience across freshwater and saltwater fisheries and a strong focus on conservation and local ecology, every trip delivers more than just fish: it’s a true Lowcountry on-the-water experience.
Goose
The Goose is a comfortable 25-foot Sea Hunt BX BR bay boat powered by a Yamaha 300 and equipped with a Minn Kota trolling motor and 12-foot Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchor system. This setup allows us to position quietly and precisely, putting anglers on fish faster.
Designed for a smooth, confident ride, the Goose handles a wide range of conditions with ease — from inshore creeks and flats to nearshore reefs. With generous casting space at both the bow and stern, anglers fish comfortably and safely.
The boat features ample storage for gear and personal items, along with an onboard cooler for drinks and snacks. Water and ice are always provided on Folly Beach fishing charters and other excursions.
